FAQ - Mikro-ÖV

In which regions is micro-public transportation available?

POWER TAXI operates the following micro-public transportation services:

  • Lendorf: Lendorf Micro-Public Transportation

  • Lungau: Lungau Micro-Public Transportation (partner of the Lungau Regional Development Association)

  • Lake Millstatt–Bad Kleinkirchheim–Nockberge: Nockmobil Micro-Public Transportation (partner of Nockmobil)

  • Southern Carinthia: Postbus Shuttle (a Postbus partner)

Micro-public transit is a flexible supplement to public transportation. Within a defined area and time frame, minibuses or cars operate without a fixed schedule between designated stops—as needed. The stops are generally spaced closely together (approx. every 300 m), ensuring good accessibility. Rides are booked individually, usually via an app or by phone.

Was ist der Mikro-ÖV Lendorf?

Lendorf Shuttle is Postbus’s on-demand micro-public transportation solution. Postbus Shuttle is used to supplement existing public transportation services. Within a defined service area and time frame, cars or minibuses are deployed. These vehicles travel from stop to stop as needed, without a fixed schedule. Rides can be booked at any time as needed.

  1. Download the "POWER TAXI" app.

  2. Enter your pickup and drop-off locations, date, and time, and book your ride right in the app.

  3. Payment in cash on the shuttle bus.

No, registration is not required. You can easily book as a guest online or via the app for iOS and Android. Registered users can view past bookings or set up recurring bookings, for example.
Once your booking is complete, you will receive a confirmation via email, text message, or push notification that includes the departure time, stop, and important travel information. For online bookings, a confirmation will also appear directly on your screen.
Not always. The system groups ride requests and optimizes routes. This helps make rides more efficient, but it may not always be possible to provide immediate rides. In such cases, you’ll receive alternative suggestions for nearby rides.

Rides are available only during operating hours. The first ride is scheduled taking into account the travel time to the respective pickup location.

  • Monday–Friday from 8:15 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. and from 2:45 p.m. to 5:45 p.m.

When you book, a time slot (5 min.) will be provided. For app bookings, the exact departure time of the Lendorf micro-public transit service will be sent via message well in advance of departure.

Note: Departure and arrival times may be subject to minor changes due to additional bookings made at a later date.

You can view pickup locations using the booking form or the integrated pickup location map. In addition, the booking confirmation includes a detailed description or address of the pickup location, so you can easily find it.

No, you can travel from stop to stop. The stops are located so that the nearest one is within walking distance.

Yes, that is one of the most important features. Micro-public transit takes passengers directly to train stations, bus stops, or central transit hubs, making it easier to transfer to buses and trains—especially in regions with sparse public transit service.
If the vehicle is delayed due to traffic or weather conditions, the system will usually notify you automatically. Drivers and the control center ensure that passengers are informed of any changes in a timely manner.

These are subject to the number of seats available for booking.

Yes, when making a reservation, you can specify multiple passengers, for example, for family or group trips. The on-demand bus service will plan its capacity accordingly and let you know if there are enough seats available.

No, at this time, the Lendorf micro-public transit system does not have any vehicles that are specifically accessible or wheelchair-accessible.
Passengers with special needs are asked to call in advance to inquire about possible alternatives.

Child seats, small pieces of luggage, or groceries can be brought along. For strollers, larger pieces of luggage, or wheelchairs, we recommend specifying this when booking so that we can arrange for an appropriate vehicle.

Yes, you are allowed to bring pets and skis.

No, you need a separate booking for each direction of travel. You can book your return trip at the same time as your outbound trip.

Rides can be canceled free of charge via the POWER TAXI app or by phone (+43 (0) 699 1612 0033) up to 30 minutes before the ride begins.

The standard fare is €4.10 per trip (€2.10 for the ticket + €2.00 comfort surcharge). Guests with a valid KlimaTicket pay only the €2.00 comfort surcharge per trip.

The card must be provided for each trip during the booking process and presented at the time of travel.

Payment can be made in cash directly in the vehicle.

Yes. Guests with a valid KlimaTicket pay only the comfort surcharge of €2.00 per trip.

The card must be provided for each trip during the booking process and presented at the time of travel.

Is Nightline Lungau 2.0 a taxi?

No. Nightline 2.0 is the first attempt at a micro-public transit system in the Lungau region. These are small-scale, on-demand, and flexible transportation services for people in rural areas. They provide

  • a feeder service to public transportation,
  • a supply function to ensure the provision of essential services and
  • a function designed to optimize the cost-effectiveness of public transportation

Information:Definition & Function

  1. Download the "Salzburg Verkehr Shuttle" app

  2. Sign up and log in

  3. Enter your starting and destination stops, the date, and the time, and book your ride right in the app

  4. You can pay either in the app or later on the shuttle

Yes! You can use the app to book your outbound and return trips at the same time. All you have to do is tap “Return Trip” in the app. You can then book both trips back-to-back.

Please note: if your return trip is scheduled for after midnight, you'll need to advance the date by one day. Otherwise, the app won't be able to offer you a ride!

The following video tutorial explains this in detail:

The shuttle bus stops at all official public transportation bus stops. You can also find the stops on the interactive map atmaps.lungau.at!

Yes! Rides can be canceled for free in the app up to 30 minutes before the ride starts. To do this, simply tap the “three dots” next to your booked ride and then confirm the cancellation. The following video shows you how to do this in detail.

IMPORTANT: Ifyou do not want to or cannot take your ride, please be sure to cancel it. Otherwise, the seats will be reserved for no reason, other users won’t be able to book a ride, and the taxi will be occupied for no reason! This isn’t fair to other users or the drivers!

If you are unable to take your booked ride, please be sure to cancel it early at no charge! You can do so up to 30 minutes before the scheduled departure time!

Why is this so important? Your booked ride ties up the vehicle and, in the worst case, prevents other customers from getting a ride! Unless you cancel, the booked vehicle must complete your ride—which creates unnecessary work and isn’t ideal for anyone.

If you fail to show up for a booked ride three times (3x!), we’ll unfortunately have to suspend your access to Nightline 2.0 for a certain period of time! We don’t want that to happen, and we’re sure you don’t either.

If you have any problems or similar issues, you can contact the drivers at 0664 2404 040! Please take advantage of this opportunity!

A ride on the Nightline 2.0 costs €3 per person per trip. Payment must be made in cash directly to the driver at the start of the trip. Card payments are not accepted!

PLEASE NOTE: Fares will be adjusted effective January 3, 2025. A ride on the Nightline will then cost €5 per person per trip!

No. Downloading and using the app, making a reservation, and canceling are all free!

Please note: If, for example, you book for 5 people and only 3 of them end up taking the ride, you will still be charged the fare of €3 per person for all 5 people (for a total of €15).

Contaminants on the vehicle:

  • A fee of €24 will be charged for minor soiling.
  • A fee of €54 will be charged for significant soiling.

Of course, there may be times when the app displays error messages or doesn't work. This can happen, for example, after updating your smartphone. In that case, simply uninstall the app and reinstall it. Everything should then work properly again.
