The common good
is understood as the opposite of individual or group interests within a community.

The common good refers tothe well-being—the common good, the common benefit—of a community.

The term "community" (
) refers to a small social group (such as a family, a parish, or a circle of friends) whose members are closely bonded by a strong sense of togetherness. The community is regarded as the most basic form of social coexistence and as a fundamental element of society.

The term "family" refers to a community formed through partnership, marriage, or kinship. A family is a close-knit group of relatives.

The term " municipality" or "local community" refers to those local authorities that constitute the smallest spatial-administrative—that is, political-geographical—administrative units. This corresponds to the LAU-2 level (LAU = Local Area Unit) of the European Union.

Key facts regarding the legal structure of FAMILY OF POWER as a European Cooperative Society with Limited Liability (SCE mbH):

  • The SCE’s non-profit, cooperative orientation. People come first.
  • One-time purchase of the business share. No ongoing membership fees.
  • Any individual may become a member by purchasing a share for €12.
  • Any legal entity may become a member by purchasing a share for €120.
  • Each member's liability is limited to the amount of their capital contribution (e.g., €12!).
  • Limited Liability Company – FAMILY OF POWER SCE, LLC.
  • Members are not required to make additional capital contributions.
  • The organization is structured by region. The focus of each region is on the local community or chapter.
  • Decisions within the community are made by consensus, with fewer than 12% of members objecting.

FAMILY OF POWER supports initiatives with an eco-social focus

  • … renewable energy—in particular, the generation and optimized use of solar power.
  • … the establishment of market-ready e-mobility in all its aspects (development, production, charging, e-car sharing)
  • … the purchasing power and economic vitality of a region (Power Bonus System)
  • … the expansion and quality of childcare and educational services for children
  • … organic agriculture and forestry, producing high-quality food and renewable raw materials


The eco-social motto is:
“A better quality of life for everyone—today and tomorrow.”
All people and future generations have the right to a good life in an intact environment.

Aneconomic regionconsists of

  • a municipality,
  • Part of a municipality or
  • a municipal association (a voluntary, elected association of neighboring municipalities)

formed.


An economic region is ideally composed of 12,000 to 24,000 residents.
Cities and/or municipalities with more than 24,000 residents are divided into several economic regions.

Pursuant to Article 63 of the EU Regulation on the Statute for a European Cooperative Society (SCE), the Articles of Association of FAMILY OF POWERprovide foran organizational division intosectionsandsectors.

The organization is divided intosections(i.e., economic regions) because FAMILY OF POWER“operates in more than one geographical area and has multiple branches.”

The organization is divided intosectors(i.e.,areas of activity, such as childcare and education, agriculture, e-car sharing, etc.) because FAMILY OF POWER“engages invariousactivities.”

The totality of all interconnected and interdependentsectors(= economic activities) within aregionis referred to asthe regional economy.

A regionrefers to an area that constitutes a single unit in geographical, political, economic, and/or administrative terms.
