The Postbus Shuttle Southern Carinthia was awarded the prestigious VCÖ Mobility Prize by the Austrian Transport Club (VCÖ). Among 363 submitted projects, the flexible micro public transport service stood out as a flagship project for sustainable and passenger-oriented mobility. The award ceremony took place during a press conference at the Carinthian provincial government.

Flexible – all year round

The Postbus Shuttle caters to the needs of passengers and complements the existing public transport network. Trips can be conveniently booked via an app throughout the year – and even until late in the evening during peak season.

In summer, a bicycle trailer is available for transporting bikes. In winter, the shuttle takes guests to Petzen and also transports winter sports equipment such as skis, snowboards, or snowshoes. This makes the service an ideal solution for daily use, leisure, and tourism.

The shuttle connects passengers with restaurants, traditional wine taverns (Buschenschenken), sights, and events – such as “See in Flammen” at Lake Klopein or the Bleiburg Meadow Market – thus offering a sustainable alternative to private cars.

A Look into the Future

The Klopeiner See – Southern Carinthia – Lavanttal tourism region plans to expand the Postbus Shuttle service beyond the current municipalities to cover the entire region in the future.

Winning the VCÖ Mobility Award sent a strong signal for innovative and sustainable mobility solutions in Carinthia – and POWER TAXI is proud to be part of this success.
